The ginger and mint help settle an upset stomach and is a natural antimicrobial where the honey contains an enzyme called "glucose oxidase", which can help kill harmful bacteria.
Gut Healing Smoothie 2
Ingredients: (Serves 1)
1/2 cup coconut yoghurt
1 cup coconut water (or plain water)
1/4 tsp ginger powder
3 mint leaves (large)
1 tsp honey (we love using the brand Happy Valley Honey)
1/2 cup blueberries
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. You may wish to pop in the fridge for a little bit to cool if you prefer a cold smoothie. If there is leftover, take it with you for morning tea.
